Our rented apartment in Brooklyn last month, where we stayed for ten days, had some interesting decor. It freaked out Eliot a little!

Bedroom Two- cute little corner

This little two bedroom in the Gowanus/Park Slope area was at the top floor of a four story walk-up. The masks, antlers, religious paintings and sheep heads were very new to my five year old. There was even a handmade upside down zombie head lamp on the kitchen table. When we walked in to the space for the first time after our red-eye from Portland Eliot looked right at it and said, "Look Mommy, a dead guy." I quickly turned this little piece of art around so we didn't have to stare at him while we ate.
Have a beautiful weekend! It's as dark as can be outside here in PDX!
Yes, that's what I wrote, 'outfits'. I bought this for Eliot in a store in New York on the upper west side. It's called Bit'Z Kids: http://bitzkids.com/store/ and I just love their clothes. Enjoy!

The same day we took in the sights of 'Amelie' we went to the Picasso museum. No photos are allowed inside but outside there are some really creative photo opps. Enjoy! I think this is officially the last Paris post! I've enjoyed doing these so much. I hope it's made your heart smile too.

We spent some time at a beautiful spot where some shots from the movie 'Amelie' was shot in Paris. Here are a few:

This shop (right down the street from the previously mentioned vegan restaurant) had handmade art from Portland! So cute to find it in Paris. And more photos of cuteness...

Now that's a fountain.

The first time we tried to go to the Louvre it was a free day and the line wrapped around the pyramid and way out into the square. Insane amounts of people, we almost got pick pocketed by a very clever, charming, dirty and disgusting guy, and then we got out of there fast. So here are some photos from this amazing place. Just please, don't go in the summer time on a free day. Just don't.

Outside, of course.

Inside

From the inside

So excited

Eliot was excited too. It is enormous. The stairs and statues go on and on.

Explaining some of this to Eliot was tricky.

More Diana.

In person this looks just like my dad. Amazing!

Looking up again.

Diana, again!

Doesn't do her justice.

My brother Tony says that Paris ruins you. The beauty of Paris ruins the rest of Europe for you. So I suppose the suggestion implies to go there last on your schedule or only go to Paris.
